A big thank you to all who joined us on October 4th for the special Fall Fest event! It was a wonderful evening of crispy autumn weather, scarecrow making, selfie taking (the display is still up at the corner of Fenwick & Washington), a “pumpkin chuckin’ contest”, scavenger hunting, pumpkin decorating, and a free concert by Cowboy Crossing followed by the audience participation Drum Circle. Special events at the shops, galleries, and restaurants and much more were abundant Downtown and beyond.

The Scarecrow Stroll Contest opened and will run through Oct. 26th, stop by one of the participating shops for a ballot to vote for your favorites or vote online at the “Leonardtown Business Association” Facebook page. By voting you will be entered to win one of many fabulous prizes donated by local shops and restaurants!

Save the date for our next special event on November 1st as we celebrate “Dia de los Muertos” (Day of the Dead) from 5-8 PM! Many exciting events and activities are being planned and will be announced soon on Facebook.

A note of appreciation to the Town of Leonardtown, the Commissioners of Leonardtown, LBA business members, the SoMar Drummers, the First Friday volunteers, and Leonardtown Business Association Platinum Sponsors (The County Times, Leonardtown Chevy Buick GMC, Marrick Homes, Quality Built Homes, and Visit St. Mary’s) who all helped to make this yet another wonderful community event!
